Product description: Goddess Saraswathi, the consort of Brahma the creator, is worshipped as the Goddess of learning, wisdom, speech, music and art. The brass statue depicts goddess Saraswathi seated on a double lotus pedestal in lalitasana pose (one leg folded inwards and the other leg hanging down) in a graceful manner, her posture conveys both poise and tranquility. In one hand, she holds the sacred Vedas symbolizing knowledge, while the other hand holds a stringed bead, a rosary. Her front hands holds a veena, the traditional Indian stringed instrument that represents arts, learning and creativity. Her serene face is beautifully portrayed with gently closed eyes and a soft smile playing on her lips, that radiates peace and inner contentment. Certainly a beautiful statue of Saraswati in a warm antique brown finish.
