Product description: Lord Vishnu, one of the supreme deities in Hinduism is the preserver and protector of the universe. He is one of the divine Trimurti along with Lord Brahma the creator, and Lord Shiva the destroyer. Lord Vishnu incarnated in different forms (Dasavatar - Ten forms) to preserve the universe and restore peace and dharma. The brass statue depicts Lord Vishnu standing on an inverted lotus pedestal. The brass statue depicts Lord Vishnu standing on an inverted lotus pedestal with four hands; his rear hands holds the chakra (wheel), and the conch, while his front right hand shows abhaya mudra. His left hand holds the most powerful weapon, the Gada (mace). This divine weapon is known as the Kaumodaki gada. The name Kaumodaki is derived from the word 'Kumuda' meaning 'water lily’, and the mace represents the power of knowledge, time and intellect. The face of Vishnu looks very calm with a pleasing expression. The statue is indeed a divine representation of Vishnu in an antique brown finish.
