Product description: Varahi Amman is the Goddess with a boar face and has the attributes of a warrior. Varahi is one of the Sapta Matrikas; a Sapta Matrika is the female counterpart of a God, and a form of Shakthi. Varahi is the female counterpart of the Varaha avatar of Vishnu, and the commander-in-chief of Devi Lalita Tiripurasundari’s army. The bronze statue depicts Varahi seated on an inverted lotus in lalitasana pose. She has eight arms, each holding a divine object like the chakra, a conch, a plough, a danda, a goad and a noose(pasha). Her front hands are in Abhaya mudra and Varada mudra. The face of Varahi has a calm expression, and the elaborate crown and ornaments emphasizes her divine and royal status. The powerful Goddess Varahi blesses her devotees with miraculous boons, hence she is revered by her devotees as “the granter of boons”. The lustrous fine polish finish on the statue becomes a visual embodiment invoking a sense of reverence and admiration. The arch has fine intricate details with the kirtimukha face atop is said to be sacred and serve as a symbol of protection, and is removable from the statue base. The panchaloha bronze statue of Narasimha Lakshmi is one of a kind statue made using the lost-wax method; an expert craftsmanship by our South Indian bronze artisan.
