Product description: Ganesh is a common deity among the Asians, and worshipped in most places as the elephant head God. He is the son of the Shiva and Parvathi, and worshipped to bring peace and remove obstacles in one’s life. The bronze statue depicts Lord Ganesh in Bayon style which is known for their remarkable fusion of Hindu and Khmer artistry with decorated ornaments and headdress, that is typically seen in the statue of Ganesh. He is standing on a lingam, in a majestic pose with 10 arms, each holding a weapon including a mace, a disc, a conch, stringed holy bead, a leaf script, a holy pot, a lotus, his own broken tusk, and a sweet delicacy. He wears a stylized dhoti with floral motifs and delicate leaf designs, long earrings, anklets, and a serpent is seen coiled around his body. The third eye on Ganesha’s forehead, and the serpent around his body symbolizes his association with his father, Lord Shiva. The statue is bound to lots of intricate details reflecting khmer style, and the face of Ganesh exudes a sense of calmness and divine authority. Meticulously crafted with fine details, the antique black lustrous patina exhibit a refined elegance imbuing the sculpture with an ethereal glow. The statue is certainly a beautiful piece highlighting the fine workmanship by our artisans of Cambodia.
