Product description: Lord Vishnu incarnated as Venkateswara and appeared for the salvation and upliftment of humanity in the Kali Yuga age. He is considered the supreme form of Vishnu in this age and the Venkateswara temple is also called Kaliyuga Vaikuntam. Lord Venkateswara is also known as Balaji, Govinda, and Srinivasa. The word "Venkata" means destroyer of sins.
The panel portrays the supreme deity standing on an inverted lotus with a sadari and a hand bell placed at the sides of the pedestal, and intricately carved showing all the iconographical attributes of Lord Venkateswara. The iconic details includes Shanku and Chakra (Holy symbol on two shoulders), Makara kundalam (earrings), Vaijayanthi haram (choker necklace), Naga abharanam (armlet), Goddess Lakshmi (right chest),Goddess Padmavati ( left chest), Kausthubam (gem stone on chest), Yagnopaveetham (a sacred thread worn on the body to perform rituals), Dasavataram belt (waist belt), Surya Katari (sword), Tulasi maala, (holy leaf garland), the vastram behind the deity, the prabhavali (arch) with kirtimukha atop, and the makaras(sea dragons) at the sides of the arch. The wood panel clearly depicts all the iconographical attributes of Venkateswara, and indeed an amazing panel demonstrating a fine workmanship by our team of artists. Wall hanging hardware is attached to the panel.
