Product description: Lord Krishna, the son of Vasudeva and Devaki incarnated as the ninth avatar of Lord Vishnu to destroy evil and preach Dharma. Lord Krishna also known as kesava, Mukunda, Muralidhara is worshipped as one of the supreme deities in Hinduism for his compassion and love he shows towards his devotees. The name Krishna is derived from the sanskrit name "Krsna" meaning black or dark. The bronze statue of Sri Krishna is a Hoysala style sculpture, a style known for its highly embellished ornamentation, and all of these amazing decorative ornaments are more noticeable on the sculpture which reminds the ancient Hoysala architecture in the 13th century.

The bronze statue portrays Krishna standing on an inverted lotus, rectangle pedestal with yalis at the sides. Krishna is standing with one of his legs crossed and playing his flute, and the face of Krishna has a calm, smiling expression. Krishna is adorned with ornate style jewelries, that had developed during the Hoysala Dynasty. The rear hands of Krishna holds the chakra and the conch with stylized ornate hangings, and the hanging vastrams around his waist and on his shoulders has stunning Hoysala style designs that enhances the beauty of the statue. These ornate style decoration and ornamentation features unique to Hoysala artisans. Many large and small temples were built based on Hoysala style which includes some of the famous temples like the Chenakesava Temple at Belur, Hoysaleswara Temple at Halebidu, and the Kesava Temple at Somanathapura. The bronze statue of Hoysala style Krishna is enthralling with details abound, and is “one of a kind statue” made using the lost-wax method; an expert craftsmanship by our South Indian bronze artisan.
