Product description: Lord Ganesh, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is revered as an Elephant head God with a human body. Lord Ganesh is worshipped for wisdom, success, and one supreme deity who can remove all obstacles and difficulties in life. The statue depicts Lord Ganesh seated on an inverted lotus in lalitasana pose (one leg folded inwards and the other leg hanging down), with a kalash (Holy pot) and his vahana the mouse, present on the pedestal. Ganesh has a marching mice aureole which highlights the statue and makes it more attractive. The rear two hands of Ganesh are holding a goad and a coiled serpent, while his front right hand holds his own broken tusk, and left hand holds a sweet delicacy. Ganesh is wearing a big long necklace, a decorated crown, and has a serpent tied around his belly. Indeed an enticing statue of Ganesh in a brownish green patina, and is one of my favorite Ganesh statues from our collections.
