Krishna spared Kalinga’s life as he surrendered, but commanded him to leave the Yamuna river and not harm anyone in future. Seeing the dance of Krishna on Kalinga, the villagers bowed to Krishna and understood the power of the divine grace. The dance is a popular Hindu art which is a symbolic of Krishna's power and compassion, and the victory of good over evil.
