Product description: Lord Varaha is Lord Vishnu, in the form of a Boar (head of a boar and the body of a man). Varaha avatar is said to be the third avatar of the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. He took this avatar to protect the Earth from the demon Hiranyaksha who try to destroy the Earth by dragging into the sea. Lord Vishnu as Varaha slew the demon, and rescued the Earth by lifting it out from the sea with his tusks. Varaha is seen with his consort Varahi, also known as Bhooma Devi (Goddess earth). The brass statue portrays the typical pose of Varaha with his left leg raised and resting on the snake. He has four arms; two rear arms holding the chakra and the conch, and his left arm is raised to his shoulder level supporting his consort Bhooma Devi who is resting on his arm. Certainly a splendid statue of the Vishnu Varaha avatar in a black and natural brass yellow finish. The Varaha avatar of Vishnu is worshipped to obtain jnana, and attain moksha.
