Product description: The wood carving portrays the musical jewels of Carnatic Music, with Tyagaraja in the center, and Muthuswami Dikshitar to the left end of the panel, and Syama Sastri to the right end of the panel from our perception. The wood carving of the Carnatic trinity is a breathtaking piece, skillfully crafted with precision, and the face of each scholar emanates an aura of divine beauty. Dikshitar’s veena is artistically created with reference to the style of ancient veena, featuring an upward-curved yali at the end, in contrast to the modern veena design, which curves downward. Tyagaraja in the center, is seated in a graceful manner holding a tambura in one hand, while the other hand holds a wooden clapper called Kartal. Syama Sastri holds an ancient tambura adorned with a Yali face, similar to that of the veena. The three scholars, dressed simply and wearing sacred beads, are depicted in a classic manner as they hold their respective instruments. The artist uses varying heights and angles to add depth and perspective, creating a visually engaging scene. The texture of the carving invites touch, as its smooth surfaces contrast beautifully with the intricate details across the panel.

Tyagaraja was a renowned Indian composer of Carnatic music, which is the classical music tradition of South India. Tyagaraja composed thousands of devotional songs, called kritis, and among his compositions, the Pancharatna Kritis (five gems) are famous, and are performed at many Carnatic music festivals till today. Tyagaraja's musical creations stand as a cornerstone of Carnatic music, extensively studied, performed, and recorded by succeeding generations of musicians.

Muthuswami Dikshitar was a prominent composer of Indian Classical music, who composed numerous kritis, known for their intricate melodies, and profound lyrical content. He followed the vainika style (using veena instrument) expressing the quintessence of raga forms highlighting the gamakas. His compositions often explore philosophical and spiritual themes, reflecting his deep knowledge of Indian scriptures and traditions. Dikshitar's compositions remain an integral part of the Indian Carnatic music, and his legacy continues to influence and inspire generations of musicians and music enthusiasts.

Syama Sastri  was a composer and singer, and one of the Trinity of Carnatic music composers, along with Tyagaraja and Muthuswami Dikshitar. Syama Sastri's compositions are known for their lyrical beauty and devotional content, especially dedicated to the worship of Hindu Goddess Kamakshi. He is celebrated for his expertise in raga, and was the first composer known for his distinctive creations called “Swarajatis”. His disciples preserved his musical legacy, ensuring that his compositions remain a central part of Carnatic music concerts and teachings till today.

The overall composition of the wood carving serves as a testament to the skill of the artist who made the software model, and the artistry of the woodcarver who achieved the intricate details using his masterful carving technique, combine together to create a captivating and evocative representation of the trinity of Indian Carnatic Music. Great attention to details has been given throughout the panel that best explains a fine workmanship by our team of artists. Wall hanging hardware is attached to the panel.
