The Philosophers and saint are connected through their shared devotion to God Vishnu, and contributions to the philosophical and devotional literature of Vaishnavism. The wood carving is a breathtaking piece of art, skillfully crafted with precision, and the face of each philosopher emanates an aura of divine beauty. Ramanuja is seated in padmasana pose with his hands in Anjali mudra, and holds a flag depicting the vaishanava symbols, with a sadari placed near him. Nammalvar is seated in the padmasana pose, with his right hand in the vitarka mudra, while his left hand holds a leaf manuscript containing his work. As an Alvar saint, he is adorned with a jeweled side hair bun, elegant jewelry, and a garland of flowers. Manawala Maamunigal is seated in padmasana pose with his hands in Anjali mudra, and holds a flag depicting the vaishanava symbols, with a sadari placed near him. As an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu, and a prime follower of Ramanuja, Maamunigal propagated Vishishtaadvaita philosophy to attain moksha at the lotus feet of Vishnu, hence it is believed that Maamunigal is a reincarnation of Adi Sesha himself, thus he is represented with a serpent hood.
