Product description: Adi Shankara, also known as Shankaracharya or Adi Shankaracharya, was an Indian philosopher born in Kaladi in the early 8th century. He preached the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta which explains that Atman (inner self, soul) is not different from Brahman (Para Brahman, Maya, formless). Adi Shankara's profound influence on Hindu philosophy and his contributions to Advaita Vedanta have made him a revered figure in Indian spiritual and intellectual history. Shankarar strongly established the principles of Advaita vedanta and also gave his opinion on Upanishads, Brahma sutras and Bhagvad Gita. The wood carving portrays Shankara seated on a Tiger skin, carrying a stick with a saffron cloth attached. His right hand is in Vitarka mudra, and his left hand holds a palm leaf script, and a kamandalu (pot with holy water) is present near him. The holy beads around his neck and vibhuti (sacred Ash) lines on his body are characteristics of Adi Shankara, and the wood panel is an accurate representation of Shakara in a natural environment portraying the calm gesture of the saint, demonstrating a fine workmanship by our team of artists. Wall hanging hardware is attached to the panel.
