Product description: Goddess Saraswathi is the consort of Brahma the creator, and is worshipped as the Goddess of learning, wisdom, speech, music and art. The wood panel portrays Goddess Saraswathi sitting on a stone surface in a graceful posture with one of her legs crossed, and playing her Veena (Indian classical instrument). Her upper two hands holds a bead string and palm leaf script. The scene depicts the Goddess playing her Veena in the woods, and the nature is absolutely mesmerized by her music and their attention is driven to the Goddess which is seen by the peacock turning its neck around towards the Goddess, the birds sitting on the tree in silence, a pair of swan in the river with their neck down expressing their happiness and hypnotized to the divine music of the Veena. The Goddess is adorned with beautiful jewelry, the folds of her saree (dress), flower garlands, and the natural scene of the mountains with the trees and plants, the stones, lily pads, water, and the graceful posture of Saraswathi has been given great attention and intricately carved. The outer frame of the panel has two two sections with a sightly projected row of semi circle bead pattern, and an elegantly designed leafy floral pattern which enhances the beauty of the wood panel. The beautiful wood carving of Veena Vani in nature with plentiful details best explains a fine workmanship by our team of artists. Wall hanging hardware is attached to the panel.
